Synonmyms

For example, if you create an element "Name" as part of the classification GDPR, you can add all terms related to "name" such as Last name, First name, surname, etc...
This will help identifying potential attributes in the data assets that are associated with the name of a person.

Exclusions terms

As for the synonyms, you can also create a list of terms that will be excluded during the search. Exclusion could be useful for example if you would like to identify the name of a person but exclude all other name such as country name, spiece name, and so on.

All synonyms and exclusions need to be separated by a comma "," or semi-column ";".

The list of synonyms or exclusions should not exceed 8000 characters.

For each attribute, you have :

  • the assigned classification element if it 's already exist

  • the potential classification element found durint the serach.

If the dot is green then element found matches the existing element assigned, you have nothing to do

If the dot is blue, the element found is new and was never associated to the attribute. By switching the toggle, you save the new match.

If the dot is yellow, the element found doesn't match the existing one, you should review it and if required save the match. Note that you can use the drop down list to associate a different element to the attribute.

You can filter this list by Data assets or Attributes with the search bar at the top of the table.
